OFFICERS OF THE YEAR 2020
DALLAS HOUSTON
DALLAS
The Dallas Branch is pleased to announce Arthur Padilla as the Officer of The Year recipient for United
Protective Services Dallas.
Arthur joined the United Protective Services team on December 28, 2019, working as a security officer
at Lincoln Centre. When we met Arthur, he spent time explaining his role as a security/training officer.
Arthur trains new lobby officers on customer service, building tours, and emergency response. He
took the time to train several of our team for hours at the property so our company would learn about
Lincoln Centre. No matter your experience level in the security industry we can always learn from one
another. Arthur is dependable, always available to work extra in emergencies, and takes the time to
make recommendations to management to help the program advance. We appreciate all he does for
our client and United Protective Services.
HOUSTON
It is our pleasure to announce the 2020 Officer of the Year for our Houston Branch, Ms. Lorraine
Thompson. Lorraine has worked for United Protective Services since 2013. In October of 2014, she
transferred to San Felipe Plaza as a Security Officer. Since arriving at SFP, Lorraine has worked every
assignment asked of her. She is thoroughly knowledgeable in the day-to-day security operations.
Because of her experience and skill set in all security operations, she has also become the primary
trainer of all new officers that are hired to work here. In August of 2019 she was promoted to the
position of Lead Security Officer. She is a permanent member of the “Security Ride Out” team and
has weathered several tropical storms, including Hurricane Harvey in 2017. During her time at San
Felipe Plaza, she has made numerous friends and works very closely with the Parkway Team Members
and tenants by their first name. Every day she comes to work with a joyful demeanor and exhibits
that attribute to her fellow officers. If you visit San Felipe Plaza during the daytime, Lorraine will greet
you warmly and with a smile (under her mask). She is a great ambassador for Parkway and United
Protective Services.
FRISCO
We are pleased to announce that Christopher Haynes has been honored as the 2020 Officer of The
Year for United Protective Services’ Frisco Branch. Chris joined the United Protective Services team
in February 2017, working as a security officer at our Houston Branch. Chris and his family moved to
North Texas in September of that year after Hurricane Harvey devastated Houston and South Texas.
Assigned to our security team at the Star in Frisco, Chris has become an asset to UPS and our clients
and has continually worked his way up through the ranks. Chris not only assists with supervisor duties
but is also a member of our Incident Response Team. In recommending Mr. Haynes for this honor,
UPS Star Site Security Manager, Nick Husted, states that Chris is dependable, hardworking, and a
great team player. We greatly appreciate all that he does for our UPS and our clients, Lincoln Property
Management, and the Dallas Cowboys.
