The United Protective Services Key Management Program - Our Transparency Promise

United Protective Services was founded in 1999 by Eddy Allen.  Brother, Andy Allen, joined in 2003 as a way to bring together their years of knowledge and experience in the security field. They understand what it takes to provide security to companies large and small and have locations throughout Texas and Oklahoma.

Eddy Allen
Founder, CEO and Owner

Eddy understands the security business so well because he started out his career as a security officer himself. It was his work with challenging Dallas locations such as the Oxy Chem Tower, Boeing Electronics, and the Adolphus Hotel that led him to working in both the proprietary and contract security industry before founding United Protective Services in 1999.

His leadership steered United Protective through the early development of being a new face in the security industry in D/FW. Eddy's experience in high rise, high tech, and hotel security, with contract and proprietary security helped create a niche in the marketplace for United Protective. Additionally, his experience and business acumen helped avoid many of the challenges that besiege a service-related firm in its formative stage. Today, that organization operates services throughout Texas and Oklahoma with seven branch office locations and over 1,200 employees. “Our goal is to continuously improve our service delivery while effectively delivering the client’s expectation for their security program,” stated Eddy.

Eddy studied Business Administration and Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. He is presently a member of Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), International Real Estate Managers (IREM) and American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).

For over three decades Andy has succeeded in the security industry, rising through the ranks as a security officer in college and later acting in key management positions in the contract security field. These include all aspects of the industry such as operations, sales, marketing, business development and consulting before joining United Protective as Eddy's partner.

Andy is a graduate of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and minor of Business Administration. He is currently leading United Protective’s seven branch offices in business development, operations, and day to day managerial responsibilities. Andy recently commented, “Eddy and I make a good team. We value each other’s experience and business acumen and look forward to continuing our efforts to make United Protective the largest privately-owned contract security firm in the Southwest. While other firms are going through acquisitions and mergers, we are refining our service delivery to provide the security program our clients desire and deserve”.

He is an active participant in Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), International Real Estate Managers (IREM), American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and the International Facility Managers Association (IFMA), Houston Apartment Association (HAA) and the International Council for Shopping Centers (ICSC). In 2012, Andy was the recipient of the Allied Professional Member of the Year for Houston BOMA. He also serves on the Advisory Board of Directors for CRIME STOPPERS.

Key Management Responsiveness Program

United Protective Services offers the Key Management Responsiveness Program to all clients of the security company, throughout Texas and Oklahoma. This program was created to ensure that management personnel are available to all clients and employees through regular client meetings, personnel audits, performance evaluations and quality assurance programs. This assures that all clients and employees have access to answers for any questions that may occur, and allows for open communication and a level of partnership that cannot be found elsewhere. Additionally, we have built an infrastructure of management support for after-hours and weekends to help support our employees and clientele.
