United Protective is a privately held, independent corporation dedicated to providing contract security services throughout the Texas region. Beginning in 1999, with just three employees, we have grown consistently and through quality of partnerships. Today, United Protective services the State of Texas with hundreds of employees in Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, Austin, Ft. Worth, and Brownsville. As other companies merge, consolidate, downsize, or sell; United Protective has emerged as a tried and true resource for contract security services.

United Protective is an owner-operated company with one of the most experienced management teams in Texas. Eddy Allen, Dallas Director

Eddy Allen, Director

Eddy was a Business Administration major with a minor in Criminal Justice at Sam Houston State University. He finished there in 1989 before moving to Dallas. Eddy had the opportunity to work at some of the most challenging locations in the city, including Oxy Chem Tower, Boeing Electronics, and the Adolphus Hotel. After working in both the proprietary and contract security industry for several years; Eddy went to work for a Dallas security firm in the contract security industry; in late 1998, the company was acquired by a large regional provider.

It was at this point in his career that Eddy took the next step and founded United Protective Services in 1999. His leadership steered United Protective through the early development of being a new face in the security industry in D/FW. Eddy's experience in high rise, high tech, and hotel security, with contract and proprietary security helped create a niche in the marketplace for United Protective. Additionally, his experience and business acumen helped avoid many of the challenges that besiege a service-related firm in its formative stage. Today, that organization operates services throughout South Texas in San Antonio, Austin and Brownsville.

Currently, Eddy is a member Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), International Real Estate Managers (IREM), American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) and Downtown Security Directors (Dallas).

Andy Allen, Director

Andy is a graduate of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas in 1985 where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice; with a minor of Business Administration. He moved to the Dallas area to begin his career path with a regional contract security firm in 1986. He continued his career, as the Security Manager for the prestigious multi-building complex, Plaza of the Americas. After working in the proprietary industry for several years; Andy returned to the contract security field where he held high ranking management positions to include sales, marketing, business development and consulting.

In 2003, he partnered with Eddy to form United Protective Services of South Texas, in Houston, Texas. United Protective's Houston office has become one of the top contract security firms in the United States' fourth largest city. With clientele such as CBRE, Grubb & Ellis, PM Realty, Stream Realty, and Transwestern. Andy's experience and knowledge of the security market have made United Protective a welcome addition to the security industry in Houston.

Andy is currently responsible for all sales and marketing efforts to include business development, customer relations, and consulting in our Houston Office. He is an active participant in Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), and International Facility Managers Association (IFMA), and International Council for Shopping Centers (ICSC).

John Fuqua, Business Development

John Fuqua has over seventeen years of sales, marketing and management experience in the Dallas/Fort Worth security market. A native of Dallas, John attended Richland College and is responsible for all sales and marketing efforts to include business, development, company growth and consulting.

Prior to joining United Protective Services, John served in a similar capacity for one of the largest security companies in the United States and has special expertise in the vertical markets of sky rise office buildings and corporate facilities. He is a participant with Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) and Internationl Facility Managers Association (IFMA).

John has also been extensively involved in Dallas' youth baseball community for over thirteen years.
